Environmental compliance management of government and private-sector facilities

Title:
Environmental Engineer, Envirotechnical Program

Day in the Life @ SRI:
Coordinating with our clients on their needs, working with members of the Envirotechnical Program to dig deep and determine the best way to accomplish tasks at hand, and getting the job done right the first time

Before SRI:
I supported the Federal Aviation Administration and, along with SRI, provided environmental compliance management for the fielding of air traffic surveillance radar and weather radar systems.

Academics:
B.S. in geology, Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Why SRI?:
While supporting the FAA, I was impressed by SRI's level of professionalism, breadth of knowledge, and extraordinary quality of work. I wanted to be a member of that team.

Inspiration (what motivates you):
Achieving a sense of satisfaction after a job well done.

Away from the Office:
Doing just about anything, anywhere, as long as I'm with my family. We especially enjoy playing at the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Languages:
My sisters, brother, and I used to speak French in front of our parents when we were all in school. Now I can read only enough to order dinner.

Proudest Accomplishment:
Becoming a member of SRI's Envirotechnical Program!

Words of Wisdom for New SRI Team Members:
Good communication includes being a good listener. Take the time to listen and understand what others say, rather than to think that you know what they're going to say. And - - try to learn something new every day.
