As part of SRI's engineering and systems team, you will apply interdisciplinary capabilities across all phases of a system's life cycle and create solutions in areas such as automation and robotics, transportation, consumer and medical products, integrated training systems, and advanced manufacturing techniques.

From advanced radar arrays to new industrial and consumer products, complex systems require a strong combination of engineering, integration and project management expertise. SRI develops advanced radar and astronomical measurement systems, mission-critical intelligence systems, robotics, imaging and sensing systems, marine technologies, automotive technologies and consumer products.

Our innovations include

• Robotic surgery: SRI developed the first robotic surgical system cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Surgeons throughout the world use it to help patients recover faster, with less pain and fewer complications.
• Upper atmosphere studies: Scientists and students from around the world use the SRI-built Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar (AMISR) facilities in Alaska and Canada to study the rapidly changing upper atmosphere and to observe space weather events.
