The Accelerator Program An SRI Innovation Partnership Program The Accelerator Program combines the benefits of both the Discipline of Innovation (DOI) with the Technology for Innovative Products (TIP) programs to catalyze revenue growth and new product development. This program is designed to assist the client in reducing the time-to-market for new products and exploring new markets that can be penetrated using the client’s technologies. The program will be structured in two segments: a Discipline of Innovation (DOI) segment and a Technology for Innovative Products (TIP) segment. The process is outlined below.
The DOI segment typically occurs over a two-day timeframe and usually is the first segment. The product of the DOI segment is an Innovation Plan. The Innovation Plan is then used as one of the inputs for the second segment, the TIP segment. The product of the TIP segment is three white papers. Follow-up support and continued engagement is critical to the successful commercialization of new technologies and growth of new markets. As part of the Accelerator Program, SRI technical and business personnel remain connected with their counterparts in client companies.
