Fiona Baker, Ph.D.
Sleep Physiologist, SRI International’s Human Sleep Research Laboratory
Dr. Baker joined SRI as a research scientist in 2005. She received her Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2001, after which she completed a three-year post-doctoral study investigating the neurobiology of sleep with Dr. Dennis McGinty in the Department of Psychology, University of California, Los Angeles.
Her main research interests are sleep in women, body temperature and sleep interactions, and circadian rhythms. Dr. Baker is also an Honorary Research Associate of the Brain Function Research Unit, School of Physiology, University of the Witwatersrand.
