Harald Oser
Research Physicist Molecular Physics Laboratory
Dr. Harald Oser, Research Physicist within SRI's Molecular Physics Laboratory. has 12 years of experience with laser physics and mass spectroscopy. He has extensive experience with Laser and molecular physics; nonlinear optics; multiphoton excitation; high resolution laser spectroscopy; mass spectrometry; ion-optical design; jet-REMPI instrumentation and its field application; laser-based environmental monitoring, and chemical kinetics of radicals.
Before joining SRI in 1998, Dr. Oser was responsible for developing the jet-REMPI dioxin instrument at the German Aerospace Agency (DLR), Stuttgart, Germany. Currently, he is responsible for laboratory work on both the DoE dioxin project and the EPA HAPs project. Most recently, he was the leader of SRI's project to build and deliver a jet-REMPI system to the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Dr. Oser holds a Diplom-Physiker degree (1989) and a Ph.D. (1992) in physical chemistry from the University of Stuttgart. He is author of 25 publications on jet-REMPI instrumentation and its field application, laser-based environmental monitoring, and chemical kinetics of radicals.
In 1992 and 1995 he was awarded with the DLR research prize and he holds several patents.
